RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests include 20th century U.S. political, social and cultural history with a special focus on American Indians and women's and gender history. I also work on comparative history between the U.S. and South Africa. I am currently writing on the history of American philanthropy and completing a book on philanthropy's impact on higher education in the 19th and 20th centuries.
