Chinese history from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Focus on power, gender, and ethnicity in a comparative framework of analysis.

History of China from 1000 CE to 1400 CE, exploring the social, cultural, and intellectual changes in the period beginning with the transition from the Tang to Song dynasties.

• Academic Credits: 3

History of socialism and revolution in China, emphasizing rise of Chinese Communist Party, its victory in 1949, and post-1949 People's Republic of China.

• Academic Credits: 3

Transnational history of Asia; how (trans)regional movements in peoples, ideas, commodities, technologies, and capital have shaped and been shaped by gender/sexuality.
