Susana Molins Lliteras Talk

The Center for African Studies, African Studies Association and the American Council of Learned Societies, is pleased to host ASA/ACLS fellow, Dr. Susana Molins Lliteras as she presents her talk titled: Iconic Archive: The Manuscripts of Timbuktu.

In this talk, Dr. Susana Molins Lliteras will share some research on manuscripts that have been researched for almost two decades at the Timbouctou Manuscripts Project. This research is a collaborative effort with local researchers, custodians, and librarians in Mali, and other areas in Muslim Africa. She will also present an overview of her project on the Fondo Kati, a family collection that had positioned itself apart from other libraries in Timbuktu.
