Graduate Public Humanities Workshop: Day 1

Tuesday, March 30, 2021, 12:00pm - 03:00pm

Graduate Public Humanities Workshops

March 30-April 2, 2021

Sponsored by the SAS Dean of Humanities and the Center for Cultural Analysis

Are you convinced of the value of the humanities in everyday life? Do you believe in expanding access to dynamic scholarship? Have you wondered about different ways to share your work outside of the academy – especially in the new conditions created by the Covid-19 pandemic?

Join us for a series of virtual workshop sessions introducing you to different methodologies within the field. Each session will be an opportunity to learn from a scholar-practitioner, discuss tools, research, case studies – the theory, method, and practice of the field.

These workshops will feature talks, training sessions, and Q&As on digital humanities methods, community-engaged scholarship, oral history, soundscape interpretation, folklife, professionalization outside the academy, writing for public audiences, and more.

Although the workshops are geared toward graduate students in the humanities, all faculty, staff, and undergraduates are welcome to attend!

All sessions will be held via Zoom. These workshops are free but registration is required. You can participate in as many or as few sessions as you choose. Zoom links will be shared with registered participants before the events begin.
