Danielle Willard-Kyle is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the History Department specializing in Modern Europe. Her dissertation, "Living in Liminal Spaces" focuses on the questions of home-making and community building by Jewish refugees from Eastern Europe and North Africa in Displaced Persons camps in Italy after the Second World War. She received her B.A. in History and English Literature from Westmont College, her M.A. in History and Jewish Studies from the University of Toronto, and her M.St. in Jewish Studies from Oxford University before coming to Rutgers.
