Kyle Williams is a PhD candidate in history at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and a 2018-2019 Andrew W. Mellon Dissertation Completion Fellow in the Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences. His research interests include the history of capitalism, the development of political economic thought, and the history of liberalism in the late nineteenth and twentieth century. He is currently completing a dissertation, “From Public Good to Private Profit,” which is a history of the intellectual sources of the business practices and public policy of corporate social responsibility in the twentieth century. He earned a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in history and classical languages.
