Jeongeun Park is a first-year PhD student in Asian and Middle Eastern History. She studies the history of knowledge and cultural transfer during the Cold War in East Asia. Her current research explores the transnational development of North Korean STEM education system under Soviet guidance, and Chinese and Japanese influence. She engages in digital humanities scholarship with an interest in quantitative textual analysis and virtual exhibitions. Her other research interests include propaganda, psychological warfare, and imperialism.
Jeongeun received her B.A. with Departmental Honors in History (minors in modern languages and digital humanities) from Stanford University. Her first name is pronounced "Jŏng-ŭn."
