This seminar will focus on relations between the United States and Ukraine from the revolutions of 1917 through the Second World War and Cold War to the Russian-Ukrainian war that began in February 2022.
The Catholic Church identified clerical sexual abuse as a crime: spiritual incest. “Spiritual incest” indicated how the liaison between a priest and the laity, especially women, was defined by authority on the one side and obedience on the other.
