Avigyan Banerjee is a third-year PhD student majoring in Asian and Middle Eastern History. His research interests broadly include social and cultural histories of colonial and postcolonial South Asia, violence and nonviolence, urban history, memories and oral histories. He completed his M.A. and M.Phil. in History from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.
