Kyra March (she/her) is a second year PhD student in African American History and Women’s and Gender History with a Public Humanities Certificate. She obtained her BA in African American Studies and Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality with a Language Citation in Gullah from Harvard College. Kyra is interested in studying Black women and children in the South during the Civil War and Reconstruction periods. She is also passionate about pubic history and making her scholarship accessible to broader audiences.
