Xiaoli is a third-year PhD student working in medieval medicine and gender studies. She is interested in public health provisions and initiatives in the medieval and early modern period, with an emphasis on social care for the disabled. Xiaoli is also interested in the applicability of history to medical humanities and contemporary medical discourse. Her larger healthcare interests include medical/disability access and the medical industrial complex.
