Graduate Student Bios

James Bleecker is a first year PhD student in Modern European History with a minor in Environmental History. He received his B.A in History from Skidmore College and an M.A in Museum Studies from The George Washington University. James is interested in the history of Soviet Central Asia. He plans to research Soviet scientific utopianism and its impact on Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
