Florencia Elizabeth Bertinotti is a first-year PhD student. Her research focuses on the intersections of race, gender, class relations, and emancipation by investigating the lives of laundresses in 19th-century Buenos Aires. She has a degree in History, with a specialty in Social and Gender History, from the University of Buenos Aires, where she is also a member of the UBACYT research group: “Mundos del trabajo en perspectiva conectada en la larga duración. Exploraciones en torno a los significados históricos del trabajo, las retribuciones, el género y los derechos en espacios sudamericanos.”
