External funding opportunities are constantly changing, we encourage students to make use of the resources available online. The US Department of Labor has a search tool: https://www.careeronestop.org/toolkit/training/find-scholarships.aspx. And there are several scholarship websites including Fastweb, Scholarships.com, Big Future from the College Board, Bold, and MastersPortal
Once admitted, students can also utilize the Rutgers, School of Graduate Studies Gradfund resource.

We have had several students enroll in the MA program as as non-degree students with funding from the Fulbright Program. We are happy to provide the appropriate letters of support. Interested students can also contact Rutgers Global (https://global.rutgers.edu/fulbright-scholar)
NJ Teachers and State Employees
Several of our students are able to fund their MA degree through their employment in New Jersey School districts as well as certain departments in the State Government of New Jersey. Funding for MA degrees for teachers depends on union contracts in given districts, and prospective students should contact their union reps for more information.
The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development provides tuition reimbursement for degrees like ours (https://www.nj.gov/labor/aboutlwd/ourculture.shtml)
Rutgers Employees
Rutgers employees are eligible for tuition remission, and some employees of Rutgers Health (RBHS) are eligible for Tuition Assistance. Details are available here: https://uhr.rutgers.edu/benefits/educational-assistance-programs
