Admission Requirements

Applicants to the master’s degree program in Global and Comparative History should normally have a strong undergraduate GPA and compelling recommendation letters.

Application Procedures

Application materials should include:

  • A completed online application form
  • Transcripts from the colleges and/or universities the applicant has attended
  • A personal statement of 1-2 pages describing why you are pursuing an MA in History
  • A writing sample of at least 10-15 pages
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation
  • GRE scores (optional)
  • The application fee

Deadline

We will begin reviewing applications for Fall admission on December 15. Applications submitted after December 15 will be considered on a rolling basis until April 1.
